Personal Training
Undivided Attention.
Entirely your own plan.
Your space. Your pace. No one watching but your coach.
Just you and your coach. A programme built entirely around your goals, your schedule and your starting point, including any old injuries that need extra care built into the plan. Ideal if you want dedicated attention, a bespoke programme, or simply prefer to train alone.
Traditional personal training often assumes you're already comfortable in a gym, that you know what to do, and you're just missing a plan. For a lot of people, that's not where they're starting from.
Our 1:1 sessions are built for exactly that starting point. Whether it's an injury that's put you off training, or the gym itself that feels intimidating, you get a coach who adapts to what you need that day, not a generic programme you're expected to keep up with.
Start Where You Are
No baseline test, no assumptions, your first session is just a conversation.
Injury-Aware
Trained to work with pain and past injuries, not push through them.
Fully Private
Quieter sessions, one coach, one client, no audience to feel watched by.

A Coach on Your Side
REHAB INFORMED
Start with a consultation with our clinic team. Then every session can be shaped by our sports therapy team's understanding of YOUR injury.
ADAPTED TO YOU
We don't just guess. Not a generic plan pulled off a shelf, built around your body, your history, and adjusted as both change over time.
YOUR OWN PACE
No timeline to keep up with, and every movement explained before you do it — nothing happens without knowing why.
Whether it's an old injury that's put you off, or something you're managing right now, our coaches don't need you to explain or justify it. They're trained alongside our sports therapists, so every session is built around what your body can actually do today not a generic programme you're expected to fit yourself into.
A plan that adapts as your confidence grows, not a fixed programme you're locked into
Direct access to your coach between sessions, whenever you need it
Regular check-ins on how you're feeling — not just how much you've lifted
Progress measured against you, never against anyone else

Meet your coaches
Steph

I don't believe in pushing through pain to get results. Ten years in personal training, group coaching and physiotherapy have taught me one thing: the best programme is the one built around the body you actually have, not the one on paper.
My coaching blends structured strength work with a physio's understanding of injury and recovery. I don't just work around pain, I work with it, adapting every session so you can keep training, keep progressing, and keep trusting your body again.
I've had my own injuries and my own periods where training was the last thing that felt possible, and that's exactly what taught me how to adapt a workout so it meets you where you are, physically and mentally, rather than where a plan says you should be.
When you train with me, you're not handed a generic programme and left to make it work. I manage your load, adjust around what your body's telling us that day, and I'm there for the sessions that feel hard as much as the ones that feel good. If you're not sure where or how to start, that's exactly what I'm here for.

James
I don't believe in "one size fits all." My career at The Strength Training Company has been dedicated to one thing: helping people achieve what they thought was impossible.
My coaching methodology combines old-school work ethic with modern sports science. I focus on building resilient, functional bodies that perform as well as they look.
I practice what I preach. Whether it's in the squat rack or on the road, I'm right there with you, having recently completed the Yorkshire Marathon, I understand first-hand the mental and physical dedication required to cross that finish line.
Performance isn't just about lifting more or running faster. It's about building a body that holds up — one that gets stronger without breaking down, and stays capable for the long term, not just the next PB.
When you join my team you aren't just buying a gym program; you are hiring a partner in your performance. I will manage your load, adjust your nutrition, and be there to pick you up on the bad days and celebrate on the good ones.
